Trail run Sheba’s Breast in Eswatini (Swaziland) to explore this amazing trail and the attractions along it’s route. This track can also be done as a walk. Sheba’s Breast Trail is a very accessible path in the Ezulwini valley of Eswatini (Swaziland) starting from Lidwala Lodge. The trail run is a 9km route that offers excellent variety with plenty of sights of interest and amazing views. This trail run begins and ends at Lidwala Lodge in the Roki Centre of Ezulwini where there is secure parking and overnight accommodation. We call this route the Sheba’s Breast Mantenga trail run. There are a couple of other trail run options from here, some shorter and some longer – more on these in future.
Sites of Interest on the Sheba’s Breast Trail Run
There are some great sites of interest and places to see on the 9km Sheba’s Breast trail run. It takes you to the top of the iconic Sheba’s Breast Mountain, one of the best mountains to climb in Eswatini (Swaziland). It also takes you past the Mantenga Cultural Village and Mantenga Falls. These are three of the top tourist attractions in the Ezulwini valley. The sites of interest on this trail run include:

Sheba’s Breast Trail Run Challenge
So far the quickest time to complete this trail run is 1:17:47 by your’s truly. Our challenge to you is to complete this same route in a quicker time – make sure you follow the same route past the Mantenga falls, touch the beacon on the top of Sheba’s Breast Mountain and come down the forest loop trail to Lidwala Lodge and show evidence of your time from start to finish. Sheba’s Breast Trail Run Route
The first 1.8km of the Sheba’s Breast trail run is on a quiet tar road that takes you from Lidwala lodge towards Gables shopping centre on the Ezulwini main road then turns right onto the Mantenga road. Turn right towards Mantenga lifestyle centre onto the gravel road leading to Mantenga Lodge. Turn left just before Mantenga Lodge and bear right until you meet the tar road leading to Mantenga Nature Reserve. Follow this road right to the Mantenga Nature Reserve entrance gate. Follow the road to the Mantenga Cultural Village. Continue past the Mantenga Cultural Village to the Mantenga Falls. Follow the track past the Mantenga Falls Picnic Site car park up towards the forest. Turn right onto the Choncho Trail (don’t miss this!) and climb this trail till you reach the three way fork. Fork left up the Sheba Trail till you reach the summit of Sheba’s Breast Mountain (Woohooo! Enjoy the 360 degree view). Follow the trail down keeping right at the fork you just came up. Go through the little gate and down the Sheba’s Breast Trail towards Lidwala Lodge. After the steep climb below the baboon rock face you can go right at the sign towards ‘forest loop to Lidwala Lodge’ or for a slightly shorter route trek left towards ‘grassland loop to Lidwala Lodge’. Follow the trail all the way down through Lugogo Forest, past Poachers Cave and Sangoma Falls to Roki Centre. Enjoy the Roki Centre gardens and if you’d like a coffee or light meal, Juardina’s (opening soon) offers some delicious variety.
